How Can You Date A Red Sox Fan?

It's a question I get often, because I'm a Yankees fan. Not only is my lovely boyfriend a Red Sox fan, he's from Boston, and a Boston sports fan in general.

When I first met him, it was just before the first Yankees-Red Sox game, and we were busting on each other the whole night. Surviving that first series was kinda hard, but he was nothing but nice about beating my team. Well as nice as he could be, being a Sox fan and all ;).

It wasn't really hard after that series. Even with the Yankees going 0-8 against the Sox, we still had fun with it. We're obviously both very passionate about out teams, and we have had some fights about them, but it doesn't consume the relationship. We always know how far to take things with each other, and when to back off. It's just fun to pick on each other every now and then. Our passion for sports is one (of many) that brings us together.

Trust me, he gets on my nerves with his Boston cockiness, but I still love him no matter what at the end of day. Were there times in the beginning where I wanted to punch him? Yes, of course. Were there times where I wanted to take every little thing had had with Sox on it and burn it? Hell yes. I got over it though. Started somewhere around the time my team started winning.

As much as sports rule our lives, we never let that get in the way. I think that bodes well for us in the long run. No matter what happens between all the teams we root for. I still love my Loves (Boston accent and all.)

First Post. Yay!

So I figured I'd start this blog out by introducing myself to those who dont really know who I am. My name is Alexandra. Everyone calls me Alexa, or Lex, or Lexy or Lexa. I'll answer to any of them. I work for my mom's law firm as an executive assisstant. Which basically means I'm the head secretary lol. I also work for the local sports teams during their seasons.

I'm a die hard sports fan. I live & breathe with the New York Yankees, Philadelphia Eagles & New York Knicks. Baseball is first in my heart, then football & basketball.

I live in upstate New York. I would tell you guys where, but you'd probably forget 2 minutes from now lol.

I live with my best guy friend, Nardo. My boyfriend Nick, is from Boston, and a Boston sports fan. Which makes my
life with sports so much more interesting. Whole Yankees/Red Sox rivalry, you know lol. And I have an obsession with Josh Beckett. Yeah I know. I blame Nick though. Its all his fault.

My friends are the best ever. The ones that have stuck by me anyway. They're crazy, and get me into trouble most of the time, and we've known each other since we were five.

I love music, and tv shows, and movies. I'm a huge entertainment nerd. I love celebrity gossip.

This blog will be mostly about my life, and sports, and other random things I can come up with to write about. I was pretty sure at one point that my life would make a good reality show. I think it still would.

And one last thing. The whole Carl's Sister thing. My last name is Pavano. No I'm not related to Carl Pavano (although if I am, my family has kept that secret to themselves.) Nardo started calling me Carl's sister after Pavano signed with the Yankees. It's stuck around ever since then. It's just a fun nickname, and I honestly love it. As much as I hate him for saying it, and announcing to everyone in Yankee Stadium that "Carl's sister is here!" I've
learned to love it.

So, since I think I covered everything, that's it for now. Anything else you wanna know? Just ask.
